Ascending Roots Group Homes offer: professional case management, diverse variations of counseling, physical wellness (Empowerent through Sports), life coaching, anti violence resources, LGBTQ programs (partnerships), vocational training, literacy programs that includes recovery classes for high school students, strong community involvement (activities), prevention/intervention services, etc.
Programs: Kids at Hope evidence based curriculum, Power of Choice social skills development, Spiritual Wellness, Independent Living Skills, Radio station, Community Service hours, working for the agency's After School Feeding program, Individualized Tutoring, Youth Literacy, Food and Clothing Pantries, etc.
The company's unique features include a radio station that is operated by the clients; we offer an array of physical wellness programs to fight against obesity, help with motor skills, hypertension, frustration and aggression.
We house life coaching with a strong mentoring aspect, Character Counts which promotes integrity and Career Angels programs where clients research their job/career of choice and AR staff connect with a professional in that field and will supervise a client or group of no more than 4 to be shadowing for a day while client (s) are able to ask question (s) and gain a hands on experience of their dream job/career). We have a food and clothing pantry and after school feeding program which enables clients to work while being supervised and where clients are taught customer service, wholesale deals, how to prepare donations for community give aways and create peer coping/team building skills.
We have credit recovery for those clients in need of educational assistance and LGBTQ services for those clients curious and/or living an alternative lifestyle and wanting to engage in groups, classes, counseling and literature to gain more support and awareness.
